The Kardashian family have scrapped plans for a Christmas TV special.
The reality clan whose life is documented in Keeping up with the Kardashians had planned to film a holiday episode of their E! TV show but ditched the idea after Kim filed for divorce from her husband Kris Humphries at the end of October just 72 days after they married.
In addition, family members including sisters Kourtney and Khloe, brother Rob, mother Kris Jenner and step-father Bruce Jenner reportedly had “too many commitments” to film the show together.
“It didn’t look promising due to schedule conflicts, but once Kim’s divorce happened it was definitely not possible,” a source said.
After facing backlash over her hasty marriage split, Kim’s mother and manager Kris has reportedly told her to keep a low-profile.
“They did not anticipate the extreme backlash and the damage it would cause to the K-brand as a whole,” a source said.
“The whole empire has been affected by this dumb marriage and Kris Jenner is all about getting paid.”
Meanwhile, Kim made an appearance at the Los Angeles Mission on Wednesday, where she served food to homeless people.
A representative said that Kim “was very cordial and friendly” during her shift and “worked hard in both the food preparation area and in serving the food to the guests”.
Kim later tweeted that she had met “many kind-hearted people” during her stint volunteering, adding, “We fed so many today, [but] their goal is to feed 120,000 people by the end of the year.
“Every one of us can do something small that will make a huge difference to someone else.”
