Katie Couric has been shopping!
According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, the TV star has splashed out on a farewell gift for Regis Philbin to mark his exit from Live! With Regis & Kelly.
Sources say Katie was planning on surprising Philbin over the weekend with an Al Hirschfeld print from the Margo Feiden gallery in the East Village. The print captures two of Philbin’s role models, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. Couric last week interviewed Philbin and accompanied him on a tour of his home borough, The Bronx, for a special20/20.
