George Clooney on Oscar race

George Clooney wants the traditional Oscar race scrapped for the good of the movie industry.

The actor is tipped for another nomination this year but is playing down any rivalry with his fellow stars.

“I think that it’s a very odd thing to think of competition when you’re talking about what I still consider art,” says George.

“I don’t ever think of it as competing. I don’t ever think of competing with actors or filmmakers at all. I don’t think I’m in a race with anybody.”

Clooney recently admitted he believes he was “too young” when he lost his virginity.

The 50-year-old actor who is dating former wrestler Stacy Keibler first slept with a woman when he was 16 years old but doesn’t think he was mature enough for the first experience.

Discussing losing his virginity, he said,”[I was] young, very young, too young.”

The Ides of March star also admitted he believes he had his first orgasm when he was “six or seven” years old.

“I believe it was while climbing a rope when I was six or seven years old,” he said. “I mean, nothing came out, but all the other elements were there. I remember getting to the top of the rope, hanging off the rope, and going, ‘Oh, my God, this feels great!’ “
