Kim Kardashian has a new rival when it comes to farcical celebrity marriages in the cuddly form of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
Muppet star Kermit has revealed his on screen nuptials with his pig partner in the 1984 movie Muppets Take Manhattan were not legally binding and both remain single.
“Piggy actually hired a real minister to marry us and that’s true,” says Kermit.
“I didn’t know until afterwards. Fortunately for me, he wasn’t vested to do that. He couldn’t actually marry us. And frankly, between you and me, I’m not sure a frog and a pig can actually legally get married anyway. I think it’s illegal in most states!”
